Be a Good Neighbor:
Safety and Security is something we all have in the back of our minds for our families, our homes, and our neighborhood. It is something that as a community we all need to be aware of and work together on. Let’s all be good neighbors; if you notice something out of the norm, someone ringing doorbells while glancing around suspiciously, especially when you know your neighbor is not home, or going into someone’s back yard that you are not familiar with or who is not recognized, or peeking into windows, call the police and report it. You are not getting into your neighbor’s business by keeping an eye open and alert to your surroundings, but you may be stopping a crime, a burglar, and the disruption of your neighbors family sanctity. Tips: Keep your hedges trimmed below the bottom of the window. Turn on your porch lights – automatic on/off timers are available from the local hardware store. Make sure you lock your doors windows, have deadbolts installed on your doors. Take note of cars that you are not familiar with or with people that seem to be looking in others yards or windows that are not the homeowner. Keep your cars locked. Email the HOA and let them know of any suspicious activity or crime that you are aware of, and be sure to post on this information on the Facebook page as well so all or our wonderful neighbors can be aware of any suspicious activity going on in our Phillips Pointe!
